FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
    For a seated meal, our ideal capacity is 200 people. If formal seating isn’t needed, we can handle 300 guests. The number of people we can accommodate will also change, depending on whether you are using a stage, or whether you are hosting an event that requires different types of tables or product displays.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE CATERING?
    The Hillsboro Orpheum has in-house catering services and is more than able to meet your needs, however, you are welcome to employ a caterer of your choice.
  • CAN I PREPARE MY OWN FOOD IN YOUR KITCHEN? CAN AN OUTSIDE CATERER?
    Due to health regulations, you cannot prepare your own food onsite, but you are welcome to prepare your food at home and bring it to the The Orpheum. It is the same for outside caterers.
  • WHAT ABOUT LINENS, TABLE DECOR, ETC.?
    You are welcome to provide and bring in all the extras you will need, or you can rent from our inventory. We will also proudly work with "Final Touch Decor" to secure anything we might not have. Come talk to us! We've got your back.
  • AM I ALLOWED TO DECORATE IN THE ORPHEUM?
    You are welcome to customize the space to create your desired atmosphere, however all decorations must be approved with staff during event planning.
  • CAN I USE REAL CANDLES?
    Unfortunately, flame candles are not allowed in The Hillsboro Orpheum.
  • CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?
    No. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased through The Hillsboro Orpheum.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS?
    Iced tea, coffee, lemonade and water can be made available upon request. We also have fountain service that includes Coca-Cola products.
  • IS THERE A PRIVATE PLACE FOR GETTING DRESSED?
    There are two private rooms available with private restrooms. If you're getting married at The Orpheum, we have a dedicated bridal suite as well as a spacious groom's room, both appropriately outfitted.
  • WHAT ABOUT AUDIO AND VIDEO SYSTEMS?
    The Orpheum is equipped with Crown-powered JBL line arrays and subwoofers (speakers/PA), an HD 1080p projector with large drop-down screen as well as wireless microphones.
  • CAN I HOOK UP MY IPAD OR COMPUTER TO YOUR AV SYSTEMS?
    Most devices can be connected to all installed equipment, but compatibility must be verified prior to the event with a media liaison. We'll find a way to make sure everything works just as you expect it should.
  • WHAT ABOUT WI-FI?
    High speed wireless internet is available throughout the facility.
  • DO YOU HELP WITH SETUP AND TEARDOWN?
    This is negotiable. We would love handle setup and tear down so you and your guests can enjoy your event.
  • IS THERE FREE PARKING?
    There is street parking available in front of the building and all around Hillsboro’s uptown. The Orpheum has two dedicated parking lots; one directly behind the building and the other just off of W. Beech St.
  • CAN I BRING IN A DJ OR LIVE BAND?
    Yes, but heads up! The Orpheum has experienced in-house DJ’s and emcees who can help keep the party going. Outside DJ’s and bands are permitted, but they must provide their own sound system.
  • HOW FAR AHEAD DO I NEED TO RESERVE MY EVENT?
    This is dependent on the size and date of your event. Larger events require more lead time and planning. Our staff will work with you to get your event booked.
  • WHAT IS YOUR SMOKING/VAPING POLICY?
    The Hillsboro Orpheum is a non-smoking/non-vaping establishment. Smoking AND vaping are absolutely prohibited inside. There are designated spaces outside the facility, away from entrances.
  • IS THIS PLACE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
    Absolutely. We are ADA compliant and can accommodate all guests with an elevator that serves the second floor.
  • WHAT KIND OF DOWN PAYMENT DO YOU NEED TO RESERVE THE SPACE?
    A 25% payment is due at the time of booking to reserve the venue.
